亚美尼亚语（Հայերեն或Hayerēn）是亚美尼亚共和国及纳戈尔诺-卡拉巴赫共和国（目前仅获得南奥塞梯共和国、阿布哈兹共和国和德涅斯特河沿岸3个非联合国成员国的承认）的官方语言，属于印欧语系的一支，但它没有任何近似语言，其38个字母的拼音系统更是独特的，不少语言学家因此对亚美尼亚语产生兴趣。 亚美尼亚语目前广泛被亚美尼亚人使用。

语言学家将亚美尼亚语归为印欧语系的一个独立语族。亚美尼亚语与希腊语有一些共有衍征。部分语言学家将亚美尼亚语，弗里吉亚语（Phrygian）及印度－伊朗语族归类于印欧语系下的一个语族，因为它们有一些共有衍征。最近亦有一些语言学家提出将希腊语，亚美尼亚语，弗里吉亚语（Phrygian）及阿尔巴尼亚语归入印欧语系下的一个「巴尔干语族」（Balkan）。

The Armenian language (classical: հայերէն; reformed: հայերեն [hɑjɛˈɾɛn] hayeren) is an Indo-European language spoken by Armenians. It is the official language of the Republic of Armenia and the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. It has historically been spoken throughout the Armenian Highlands and today is widely spoken in the Armenian diaspora. Armenian has its own unique script, the Armenian alphabet, restored in 405 AD by Mesrop Mashtots.
