戊二酸是一种有机化合物，化学式为HO₂C(CH₂)₃CO₂H。虽然相关的直链二羧酸——己二酸和琥珀酸在室温下只有百分之几会溶于水，戊二酸在水中的溶解度超过50％。

戊二酸可用氰化钾使γ-丁酸内酯反应开环制备。产生的混合羧酸腈钾，随即水解为二元酸。 若未水解，接着以二氢吡喃氧化则生成戊二酸。另外也能以1,3-二溴丙烷与氰化钠或氰化钾反应生成二腈，接着水解而生成。

Glutaric acid is the organic compound with the formula C₃H₆(COOH)₂ . Although the related "linear" dicarboxylic acids adipic and succinic acids are water-soluble only to a few percent at room temperature, the water-solubility of glutaric acid is over 50% (w/w).
