族群（英语：Ethnic Group），是指一群人，他们认为彼此共享了相同的祖先、血缘、外貌、历史、文化、习俗、语言、地域、宗教、生活习惯与国家体验等，因此形成一个共同的群体。为区分我族及「他者」的分类方式之一。族群含义在20世纪后有转变，从原来以少数民族或少数族裔的意思，到后来以文化特征区分，而最新的看法则认为族群是社会过程后的产生的结果。因此，族族可能因历史及时空环境，基于历史、文化、语言、地域、宗教、血缘祖先认同、行为、生物/外貌特征而形成「一群」与其它有所区别的群体。这些区别我者和他者的族群性（英语：ethnicity）特质可能包括「客观」及「主观」（如认知和感情的成分）。

An ethnic group or ethnicity is a category of people who identify with each other based on common language, ancestral, social, cultural, or national experiences. Unlike most other social groups, ethnicity is primarily an inherited status. Membership of an ethnic group tends to be defined by a shared cultural heritage, ancestry, origin myth, history, homeland, language and/or dialect, symbolic systems such as religion, mythology and ritual, cuisine, dressing style, art, and physical appearance.
