Ephesians

His dream was, thAT Diana, the goddess of the Ephesians, appeared to him, and commanded him to go to her temple AT Ephesus.

We know from Scripture that this great love was the very cause of our election (Ephesians 2: 4).

"No one hates his own body, but lovingly cares for it just as Christ cares for his body, which is the church" (Ephesians 5: 29 LB).

But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

They're an expression of God's grace to you: "Christ has generously divided out his gifts to us" (Ephesians 4: 7 CEV).

They often referred to Ephesians 5: 15 as a foundation of their concerns: "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise. "

Already in Colossians and Ephesians they set up the household in a clear hierarchical patriarchal situation.

This has led some scholars to say maybe Ephesians was written as a circular letter.

The Bible says, "You were . . . created to be like God, truly righteous and holy" (Ephesians 4: 24 GW).

In Ephesians 2: 8-9, after Paul clearly says that we do not have to "do" anything and that salvation is a "gift of God, " he goes on.

4 But when they realized that he was a Jew, one voice arose from all for about two hours, crying out, Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!

Ephesians 1 : 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 6: 4 bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

34 But when they realized he was a Jew, they all shouted in unison for about two hours: "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! "

Paul, though, told believers not to let "foolish talking" or "jesting" be part of their lives (Ephesians 5: 3-4).

Ephesians 1: 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Why do I say that Ephesians was written by a different author and not simply the same author?

Everything is placed under Jesus' feet, but we are His body and He fills every part of His body completely (Ephesians 1: 22, 23).

In Ephesians, the apostle Paul says the third thing to do in spiritual warfare is to wear shoes that announce the Good News of peace.

Paul says, "Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6: 17).

We are up against "the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6: 12).

In the first three chapters of Ephesians, Paul is telling us about our wonderful position in Christ.

Ephesians 2 : 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

During the 1500s his followers rediscovered this teaching, describing it as "salvation by grace alone through faith" (see Ephesians 2: 8).

The writer to Ephesians condemns that kind of language.

In Ephesians 4, Paul urges his readers to take off the old self and put on the new self.

The Bible says, "Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness" (Ephesians 4: 24 NIV).

And when the temple was again destroyed by the Goths in AD 262, the Ephesians vowed to rebuild.

We read in the book of Ephesians, "By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (2: 8).

When love moves us to be kind, God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3: 20).

Ephesians 4: 23 says, "Be made new in the attitude of your minds" (NIV).

Ephesians (Eph) 5 Eph 5: 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient, but rather giving of thanks.

Ephesians 4: 30 tells us that believers are "sealed for the day of redemption. "

The Bible says, "Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church" (Ephesians 5: 25).

Ephesians 6: 4. To get good results, your manner of giving loving discipline is important.

Ephesians 2 : 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2: 10 NIV).

Ephesians 2: 1-10, the apostle Paul summarizes how we are saved and rescued . . . from what these genes can do to us.

Read Ephesians 5: 18. This verse tells us not to do what? The same verse tells us to do what?

In Ephesians we are told to be imitators of God and to walk in love (Eph. 5: 1-2).

Wives are told in Ephesians 5: 22 to submit to their husbands as to the Lord.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4: 32, NKJV)

"To the praise of His glorious grace, which He freely gives us in the One He loves. " (Ephesians 1: 6)

Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5: 17 (NLT)

The apostle Paul wrote this challenge from God to the Ephesians:

and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4: 24

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise. Ephesians 5: 15
