This tutorial requires the creation of a number of userids, and all the exercises will use the ids created.

Security is primarily administered by Microsoft, however access is still acquired by using userids and passwords.

If the CICS region has an access level of NONE, then two userids are checked: the CICS job userid and the CICS transaction userid.

The profiles in the MQCONN class control which userids have authorization to connect to the queue manager.

Just be aware that userids must be unique!

Userids and passwords are stored in the users. xml file.

If you're like me, you own many identifiers or userids.

The file . rhosts contains a list of all IP addresses but with no userids.

Alternate using a pair of userids, such as useridA and useridB, and assume you are currently running using useridA.

This will be run for any repository changes (drivers, password, userids, and so on).

Then create the userids and install DB2 UDB using the db2setup command.

RESLEVEL controls how many userids will be checked.

The PUTAUT parameter on the channel itself controls which userids (for example, MCAUSER, alternate user) are checked for authorization.

On HADB1, initially create the userids for DB2 UDB and install DB2 using the db2setup command.
