Test the connection by clicking Test Connection at the bottom of the Add Connection window.

It is always a good idea to press the Test Connection button on the settings form to verify that the settings are correct.

Validate the settings: click Test connection on the bottom of the page.

Verify the connection by entering the required connection parameters and clicking the Test Connection button as shown in Figure 2.

If you do not specify a server in the "Specify Transport" setting, the test connection uses the SRV record to find the server.

Click on the Test connection option in the upper right corner of this window to verify that you can connect to the DB2 TPOX database.

Click Test Connection to see if a connection can be established.

This can be tested using the Test Connection button for each DataSource on each of the created Datasource panels in the admin console.

To create another test connection, the service configuration number must be changed.

Click the Test Connection button to proceed to the next page.

Click OK to close the message, check your settings in the Data Link Properties dialog box, and then click Test Connection again.

A Test Connection button is provided that attempts to communicate with the OmniFind server using the settings provided.

Optionally, click Test connection to verify that your connection works.

Click the Test Connection button to verify that the connection exists.

When the message displays confirming that the database has been started, click Test Connection.

Click Test Connection to check the connection without closing the dialog box.

Click Test Connection to make sure that the connection works.

Enter the database host name, the port number, and the database name, and then click Test connection.

Click on Test connection to verify that you can connect to the DB2 TPOX database.

Click Test connection to ensure that the values are correct.

Now in the Test frame, click on the Test Connection button to test the JDBC connection with the DB2 database.

The New Linked Server dialog box now includes a Test Connection button.

Click Test connection, and when you are sure that the connection works, click OK.

You can test the connection by clicking the Test Connection button.

You should see a "Test connection successful" message.

Remember to click Test connection to verify your inputs (Figure 15).

If the test connection works, click OK (Figure 3).

Verify the connectivity of the modified data source with the test connection facility in the administrative console.
