Lomborg is being disingenuous when he protests that our authors did not even mention half his book.

The problem is, Lomborg gets many of his facts right--and provides 2, 930 footnotes to make them easy to check.

Lomborg directs the Copenhagen Consensus Center and is the author of The Skeptical Environmentalist and Cool It.

Perhaps that explain why a new book by Bjorn Lomborg received so much publicity.

One way, according to Lomborg, is for the poor to become, well . . . less poor.

Lomborg pretends otherwise because he disagrees with the priorities they set.

Lomborg said his group had 31 top environmental economists evaluate the most cost effective ways to reduce global warming.

Mr Lomborg reckons that the benefits of implementing the Kyoto protocol would probably outweigh the costs, but not until 2100.

Yet Lomborg is as guilty of exaggeration and selective use of data as those he criticizes.

"We will never succeed in making dirty energy clean and inexpensive, " Lomborg said.
