Some of the most important work in Lotus Domino 7 was done behind the scenes to improve server performance, and this work paid off.

Lotus Domino doesn't treat groups differently based on their names, but the group manager does.

We found that 150-200 is a good starting value for database configuration parameter MAXAPPLS for Lotus Domino with DB2 storage.

After upgrading this server to Lotus Domino 8. 5 and enabling DAOS, the results detailed in table 3 were seen.

Lotus Domino scales well but also does a good job of using system resources, notably, memory.

Lotus Domino V7. 0. 2 compatibility is a major requirement because organizations may take some time to migrate to Lotus Domino V8.

Then you must buy and install a new license of Lotus Domino.

As we can see, the processor cost was 20 percent lower per user by consolidating the workload to fewer Lotus Domino partition servers.

The changes used on both servers for the Lotus Domino 8. 5 and Lotus Domino 8. 0 comparisons are detailed in table 2.

Lotus Domino 8. 5 also offered a considerable processor reduction ranging from 10 to 18 percent as compared to Lotus Domino 8. 0.

Now let's look at the effect of some of the new Lotus Domino 8. 5 features, such as DAOS, on Lotus Domino 8. 5 server performance.
