GTK

Currently, there is no support for creating additional GTK engines. However, you can visit Themes. org to see what may be in store.

Bindings are special packages for a given language that expose the GTK API in a manner appropriate for that language.

It was created mainly as an alternative to XSane, a famous GTK scanning program with a very un-KISS user interface.

This provides an abstraction layer over the existing operating system-specific windowing system (GTK in case of Linux).

Bindings exist between GTK and a huge number of programming languages, more than either Qt, or even Tk.

The value returned from this function indicates whether the event should be propagated further by the GTK event handling mechanism.
