Jehoshaphat

And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

Jehoshaphat said, 'The word of the Lord is with him. ' So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

And he said unto Jehoshaphat , Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead?

The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals.

Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'Didn't I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad? '

The fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands surrounding Judah, so that they did not make war with Jehoshaphat.

As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, 'Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem!

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?

Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord .

Then Ahaziah the son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "Let my servants go with your servants in the ships. " But Jehoshaphat was not willing.

Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem in the house of the LORD before the new court.

Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.

And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.

And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.

Then Jehoshaphat rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of David his father.

And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.

So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

Chr 18: 17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?

Joram son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned twelve years.

[ bbe ] so when the captains of the war - carriages saw jehoshaphat , they said , it is the king of israel.

' Jehoshaphat replied, 'I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war.

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, 'I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses. '

18And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?

But Jehoshaphat asked, 'Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord through him? '

Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned in safety to his house in Jerusalem.

And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.

Jehoshaphat was frightened, and he hastened to consult the LORD. He proclaimed a fast for all Judah.

But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him?

Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem.

Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who was guilty of wickedness.

After this, King Jehoshaphat of Judah allied himself with King Ahaziah of Israel, who did evil.

So he asked Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead? "

and turning against him, they came round him, but Jehoshaphat gave a cry .

God tells Jehoshaphat, "Take your positions and stand firm. "

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes.

Then Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes.

Some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents and silver for tribute, and the Arabians also brought him 7, 700 rams and 7, 700 goats.

So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him.

When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, 'Surely this is the king of Israel. '

At that time Ahaziah son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, 'Let my men sail with your men, ' but Jehoshaphat refused.

All these were sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.

So Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years.

"Jehoshaphat, will you go to war with me? "

Also [some] of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver;
