stand, get up or stand up? 用 stand、get up 还是 stand up？

Stand usually means 'to be in a standing position' but can also mean 'to get into a standing position'. Stand up can be used with either of these meanings, but its use is more restricted: it is used especially when sb tells sb or a group of people to stand. Get up is the most frequent way of saying 'get into a standing position', and this can be from a sitting, kneeling or lying position; if you stand up, this is nearly always after sitting, especially on a chair. If you want to tell sb politely that they do not need to move from their chair, use get up. * stand 通常含站立、直立之义，但亦含站起来、起来之义。stand up 用于上述两种意思均可，但其用法较受限制，主要用于指让某人或一群人站起来。get up 是表达从坐着、跪着或躺着的姿势站起来最常用的说法；stand up 则几乎总是指从坐着的姿势，尤指从椅子上站起来。如果想礼貌地告诉某人不必从椅子上起来，用 get up：◆Please don't stand up!
