Charles Rennie Mackintosh

- (1868-1928) a Scottish architect and designer who produced buildings, furniture and decorative objects in the art nouveau style. His best-known building is the Glasgow School of Art (opened 1899). He is also known for his watercolour paintings, done mainly in France towards the end of his life.
