somebody’s face fits/doesn’t fit - (British English) used to say that somebody will/will not get a particular job or position because they have/do not have the appearance, personality, etc. that the employer wants, even when this should not be important长相（不）合格；性格（不）合适
- If your face fits, you'll get the job.如果你的脸型合适，你就会得到这份工作。
- It doesn't matter how well qualified you are; if your face doesn't fit, you don't stand a chance.资历多好也没用，如果人家看你不顺眼，你就不会有机会。
