Pontin's

- any of a group of British holiday parks, the first of which was opened by Fred Pontin in 1946. In the past they were called holiday camps and they offered cheap family holidays which were very popular in the years after the Second World War, but became less so towards the end of the 20th century. The company was sold in 1978 and has had various owners since then, but the Pontin's name continues to be used for the parks that remain open.
