The results show that this technique is effective for dehydration of excess activated sludge and sludge stabilization.

Simultaneously, the excess activated sludge that drained from the sediment pool returned the hydrolysis- acidification pool could be degraded, so the treatment cost of sludge could be lower.

These results suggested that it might be possible to apply TCS in activated sludge systems to reduce the excess sludge production but it might influence the population in sludge.
