Conclusion Submental endotrachealintubation is a secure and effective technique of airway management, an alternative to tracheotomy in treatment of patients with complex facial fractures.
Results 40 cases IMS patients were given endotrachealintubation and mechanical ventilation with cholinesterase agent, 36 cases were rescued, 4 cases died, success rate was 90%.
These procedures include: bronchoscopy, sputum intubation, endotracheal, intubation, open suctioning of airways, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and autopsies.
