This paper introduced the speed-falling problem and its producing factors of the high speed wire rod prefinishing mill in Anyang steel group.

A novel, simple and reliable control method is presented to resolve reverse ruler and slackline problems caused by acceleration during falling down of stock rod in blast furnace.
