Surgeons at Birmingham Children's Hospital spent six hours sawing her skull open from ear to ear and leaving gaps as they put it back together.

The Liverpool manager, who has presided over six defeats in the last eight matches ahead of Birmingham City's visit tonight, claimed he was "100% sure" his team would start to climb the table.

Birmingham have not won in six outings and have gone 51 matches since they last won by more than one goal.
