Wildlife photographer Mark Hancox waited for seven hours in a cramped hide on the shores of Loch Garten, Scotland, before the bird caught its prey.

The painting of a "bird" is only a mark used by an artist to link the past with the present and the future.

The arrow reached its mark and the bird fell dead.
