Called 'cuy' in Peru, Guinea pig is a stable source of income for farmers and holds an elevated place in Andean folklore.

In another incident, elevated dioxin levels were detected in animal feed in the Netherlands in 2006 and the source was identified as contaminated fat used in the production of the feed.

Water will often be pumped from the source to an elevated point to allow gravity-feed distribution. Planning of the site should take this into account.
