If you check the standard life cycle of JSF, you will find that the user normally needs to produce an event on the Web page (by clicking a button, for example) to invoke the GUI refresh.

Select the required wash cycle, dog size, put the dog in the machine, and press the start button and then your pet comes out clean and unharmed.

You can also use the A button to cycle through the pastries faster.
