Ferguson added that although Hernández's deadleg would keep him out on Tuesday, the Mexican should be back for the Premier League match against Norwich this weekend.
Having suffered a head injury on United's summer tour of the United States and a knock to his shin against Chelsea last week, Hernandez is now back on the treatment table with a deadleg.
Ferguson has also ruled Rafael out of his plans after he picked up a deadleg and Patrice Evra was forced off with an ankle injury that will be assessed, although it does not look good.
