One of the most interesting Americans alive around the turn of the century, was a man by the name of Russell Herman Conwell.

He said that at the start of her career, Esther Conwell was told that as a woman she could only get a job as an engineer's assistant.

Several years before, as I remember it, Dr. Conwell had been tremendously intrigued by a true story, which had an ageless moral to it.
