The paper describes the mechanism of origination of cross-modulation interference in CATV and a method for fixing it. The formulae on mathematics of cross-modulation interference are derived.

In order to decrease the mirror frequency interference, cross interference and inter-modulation interference, double IF (Intermediate frequency) is adopted in the receiver.
