The solid acid catalyst of supported heteropoly acid used for the synthesis of linear alkylbenzene from benzene and dodecene was characterized by using XRD, SEM, TEM and FT-IR.
It is showed that the conversion ratio of dodecene and the selectivity of producing 2-alkylbenzene are slightly increased with increasing molar ratio of benzene to dodecene, respectively.
