The fields of application are dewatering and thickening of sewage sludge in municipalities and industries, treatment of drinking water and recovery of valuable materials from production streams.

It is reported in this paper that the application process of cationic flocculant PDA was optimized in the treatment of sludge dewatering in municipal sewage.
