A way of digital phase detector applied to the laser phase distance measurement system is introduced in this paper, which is based on DSPs and FFT algorithm.

Then the demodulated signal and the signal of the reference piezoelectric hydrophone were input into a high-resolution digital phase detector to get the phase difference.

Before the design of digital circuit, measurement method of phase difference is discussed. Two-way zero passage phase detector is chosen as solution finally.
