As I encouraged group members to focus on what they could do, a sense of determination replaced the previous sadness, Instead of despair, these young people began to feel a call to action.

They cannot solve the problem because they do not reach and move into sustained action the large groups of people necessary to attract attention and convey the determination of the majority.

I am sure that we can go away from Mexico City with confidence, determination, and a clear vision of the collective effort and focus of our action into the new millennium.
