In this paper, the study of disc spring is simplified and regarded as the symmetrical bending of circular plate with initial bending deflection.

Then, by applying a method of successive searching approximation, all the forces loaded on each leaf, and the stresses, deflection curve and spring rate of each leaf can be worked out.

This paper analyzes the load-deflection and stress characteristics of the ring-wave spring in theory, and obtaines several calculating formulas.
