Balance weights, if required, shall be secured to the rotor resistance ring or rotor fins.

Machine screws or nuts and bolts used to attach balance weights are specifically prohibited.

The use of tin as balance weights is believed to have less of an environmental impact than weights made of lead, as previously used.
