In the closed circulation system of ash-sluicing water of coal-fired power plant, the scaling of the hydraulic ash transport pipes and the backwater pipes is the main problem that need to be solved.

This paper describes the design of ash sluicing water treatment with acid and the installation of flow meter on big size ash sluicing water drain pier of reinforced concrete.

To ensure the safety of the dam, countermeasures including low water-level operation of the dam and sluicing-siltationmethod with coal ash in front of the dam were presented.
