This paper introduces a design of Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis(DDFS) based on CPLD, and describes clearly the design method of a multi-function waveform generator using DDFS.

First of all, this thesis introduces the features of Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis (DDS) technique and gives a new structure of the Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG) base on DDS technology.
