Some schools require students to provide community service by volunteering in a nursing home, child care center or government agency.

"I think we're unique as a federal agency," USPS official Mike Swigart told me, "because we're in literally every community in this country."

The Agency is its own community, in part because of our academic inclinations, but also because of the work we do and the nature of our mission.
