The celldelayvariation (CDV) between the source traffic point and UPC control point has a significant impact on the resource allocation, CAC and UPC control in an ATM network.
The performances of celldelay and celldelayvariation through ATM pon access network are studied. The effect of ATM pon media access control protocol on the performances is chiefly analyzed.
