The paper describes the computation method of seam gas pressure in the research on gas and coal outburst in Germany. Analysis and comparison are made on the obtained results.

The gas pressure is a main factor of deciding gas content in coal seam. It is an important parameter of the dangerous prediction for coal and gas outburst too.

Main geologic factors that influence recoverability of coal-seam gas include coal-bed permeability, reservoir pressure, gas saturation and desorption rate.
