The responses of the clayrock to heating were simulated by coupled THM modeling. Preliminary results of the field measurements and the numerical calculations are presented.
The results showed that disposal of HLRW in the red clayrock or old loess formation would be more safe than in deep hard rock formation or clay formation that is being studied in other countries.
