Objective To explore the relationship between the concentration of interleukin 8 (IL 8) and the number and proportion of neutrophil in the tympaniccavity effusion (TCE).
Small tympaniccavity and enlarged eustachian tube and tympanic sinus were found in 1 case respectively.

CTVE could not clearly demonstrate abnormal soft tissue within the tympaniccavity, abnormal changes of the tympanic membrane and tympanic walls, and could be easily influenced by artificial factors.
