脑脊液正是经由蛛网膜上的颗粒状结构（即“蛛网膜颗粒”（arachnoid granulation）回归到静脉中。

...，最后回到头颅里，由硬脑膜形成的矢状沟（sagittal sinus）或横状沟（transversal sinus）中的蜘蛛膜粒(Arachnoid granulation)里的微血管丛，再流回静脉。但是有一小部分的脑脊髓液会经由颅神经与脊髓神经周围的小管，进入淋巴液回到静脉。
