Chromatic Aberration — usually associated with objective lenses of refractor telescopes, is the failure of a lens to bring light of different wavelengths (colors) to a common focus.

It's an easy matter to observe chromatic aberrations, with a thick, simple converging lens.
3
Chromatic aberration: a lens fault in which different coloured lights do NOT converge on the same plane causing a blur image.
