In commercially available switching hardware, RCH and CCH are referred to as channel isolation (given in resistance and capacitance) or as channel-to-channel crosstalk (given in dB rejection).

The condition in which cement flows in a channel only on some sides of the casing or borehole annulus, and thus does not provide adequate hydraulic isolation in all radial azimuths.
