Each time the state of Alaska raised its alcoholic beveragetax, fewer deaths were caused by or related to alcohol, according to the study that examined 28 years of data.
"The tax passed today unfairly singles out beverages including low and no calorie choices," said Lauren Kane, spokeswoman for the American Beverage Association.
