For bar type plots, the data is the length of the bar, and the choice between column or bar type determines the orientation.

Without correct column distribution statistics, DB2 may not have enough information to make the best choice when choosing an access path to the data-especially if data is heavily skewed.

Writing the column has turned out to be much more difficult than I expected, and the freedom of choice has made matters worse.
