The essentiality and science value of studying on Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer were put forward that is one of most important infrared remote sensing payload on numerical weather satellite.

The map was compiled from observations by the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) and the Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit (AMSU-A) on NASA's Aqua satellite.

It is shown from the calculated results that the system can be used for atmospheric boundary layer and stratosphere sounding.
