Sitting 10 feet off the ground on 36 stilts, the station is shaped like an airplane wing. Wind accelerates underneath and discourages snow from piling up.

Based on the principle of the pollution probability, the atmospheric sampling station was set up on the coastal area of upstream wind side where the pollution probability is the highest.
