Webb secured the release of Yettaw, who had been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Yettaw is also charged with violating Suu Kyi's house arrest and faces the same penalty as the housekeepers.

Earlier this month Mr Yettaw swam across the lake by Miss Suu Kyi's house, using plastic containers as floats.
