The time when the cement slurry's column pressure reduces to the water column pressure before or after initial set is directly related to whether or not formation fluids flow out during wait-on-time.

What happens is this: the water column gradually heats, but high pressure keeps the deeper parts from boiling.

To provide accurate reading of head pressure , the line should connect at the base of the water column.
