U. s. Ambassador John Roos is expected to lay a wreath at the memorial in remembrance of the bomb victims.

Seven U. S. soldiers and an interpreter have been killed by bombs in Iraq. Six of the soldiers died when a roadside bomb exploded in western Baghdad.

Three American soldiers were killed and two wounded in a different bomb attack in Baghdad. Elsewhere, another U. S. soldier and a Marine were also killed.
