Sunni Islam ( or ) is the largest branch of Islam; its adherents are referred to in Arabic as (), "people of the tradition of Muhammad and the consensus of the Ummah" or (). For short, in English, they are known as Sunni Muslims, Sunnis, and Sunnites.
