The impurities affecting the index of UVT of phenol were found by GC MS analyses and total ketones analyses of phenol, which are mainly ketones compounds with higher boiling than of phenol.
The results showed that all together 14 impurities were generated, including oxygen-containing compounds, alkynes, and organic acids, and their total actual recovery was 1.164%.
