As one of inverters, Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) inverters can achieve low total harmonic distortion (THD) output wave.

Two different modulation methods are used to modulate the inverter and their advantages and disadvantages are compared, including total harmonic distortion (THD) of voltage and current.

Experiment result showed, the topology can make the device get to high Power Factor (PF), low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of input current, low ripple of output voltage, and high efficiency.
